The Storm Prediction Center of the National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch until 10 pm tonight for portions of northwestern Minnesota and west-central Minnesota. The watch also includes much of North Dakota and South Dakota:
Thunderstorms are expected to spread into western Minnesota during the late afternoon and early evening, and across the remainder of Minnesota overnight.
The Storm Prediction Center of the National Weather Service indicates a marginal risk of severe weather tonight for many parts of Minnesota that are not included in the severe thunderstorm watch. There is also a slight risk of severe weather for parts of southwestern Minnesota:
There is a marginal risk of severe thunderstorms overnight in the Twin Cities metro area.
Stay alert to possible weather warnings this evening and overnight.
