Former first lady Rosalynn Carter says there are four kinds of people in the world: those who have been caregivers, those who are caregivers, those who will be caregivers, and those who will need caregivers.
That includes all of us.
Connie Goldman's documentary "Hardship Into Hope: The Rewards of Caregiving" focuses on caring for people who are elderly or disabled.
The award-winning independent producer made the documentary in 1999. She's also authored nine books including, "Those in Our Care," "The Ageless Spirit" and "The Gifts of Caregiving." Goldman started her career at Minnesota Public Radio, later working at NPR.
