The local nonprofit Brand Lab surveyed the Twin Cities advertising industry and found that people of color make up only six percent of the workforce, and those that do break in often leave the business after a couple of years. Why don't people of color stick around?
That's the question at the heart of a conversation MPR News host Tom Weber had with the Brand Lab in April. Tom was joined by Pamela Brown, with Brand Licensing and Partnership Management at General Mills; Dorian Taylor, Director of New Business and a partner at the ad agency Carmichael Lynch; and Caroline Wanga, Vice President for Diversity and Inclusion at Target.
