We had scattered showers and thunderstorms in parts of the Twin Cities this (Friday) afternoon, but the main event erupted just to our south and southeast.

This satellite loop, which runs from about 2 p.m. to early this evening, shows thunderstorms erupting over southern Minnesota and western Wisconsin:
The thunderstorms brought a rush of cooler air as they moved through.
Warm Saturday
High temperatures on Saturday will be 10 to 15 degrees above normal over much of Minnesota:
It will be slightly less humid, but many spots in southern Minnesota will have dew point temperatures in the 60s.
Chance t-storms Sunday
Scattered thunderstorms are possible on Sunday, and more widespread showers and thunderstorms could move through Sunday evening.

The Storm Prediction Center of the National Weather Service indicates a marginal risk of severe weather over Minnesota and Wisconsin Sunday and Sunday night:

Highs on Sunday will be a bit cooler in many spots:
Southwestern Minnesota will still be in the 90s.
80s will be common on Monday over southern Minnesota, but we could see mostly 70s on Tuesday and Wednesday.
