Summer can be "a financial and logistical nightmare" for working parents trying to find activities or child care that will keep their kids healthy and engaged. That's the gist of a recent article in the New York Times, "The Families That Can't Afford Summer."
Marianne Combs talked with the author of that article, KJ Dell'Antonia, columnist and contributing editor to the New York Times's Well Family blog. She was also joined by Jenny Collins, one of the executive directors of the YMCA of the Greater Twin Cities, for a look at what's available locally for families piecing together a summer.
