Breezy and cool, showers possible

We hit 90 degrees in the Twin Cities on Monday, with dew point temperatures in the tropical 70s. I'd call that steamy!

What a difference a few days makes.  It will feel like late September today. Highs will be in the 70s over southern Minnesota, with 60s over the north :

A few spots in the south metro and far southern Minnesota could reach the mid 70s.

Highs rebound a bit tomorrow, but they'll still be cooler than normal:

If you prefer warmer temperatures, you won't have to wait very long. Highs in the 80s are expected this weekend through Tuesday, then we'll have 90s from Wednesday through Friday of next week.

Shower chance

Scattered showers are possible today over Minnesota, in the cool air rotating around a low pressure system near Hudson Bay:

Friday will be dry, with high pressure nearby, then a shower chance returns for Saturday.

Later Saturday and Sunday, we could see occasional showers and thunderstorms.
