David Plummer, a swimming coach for Wayzata High School and former University of Minnesota swimmer, won a bronze medal Monday in the 100-meter backstroke at the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
The 30-year-old is the first Gophers swimmer to win an Olympic medal.
MPR's Cathy Wurzer spoke with KARE 11's Dave Schwartz, who's in Rio, about Plummer and other athletes with Minnesota ties competing in Rio.
