At a school in southern Minnesota, just outside of Lewiston, there haven't been students in over a hundred years.
It's a one-room brick schoolhouse built in 1894, and it fell into such a state of disrepair over the years that it was going to be torn down. But members of the community rallied together and are going to begin restoring it.
MPR's Cathy Wurzer spoke with Mike Burke, one of the leaders of the Heartland Preservation Society, about the effort to restore the school.
