MPR's Phil Picardi spoke with University of Minnesota climatologist Mark Seeley about Hurricane Mathew, which is churning along the coast of Florida instead of hitting the state directly.
It's causing mass evacuations, and heavy rainfall and high storm surges. It's expected to hit Georgia and South Carolina soon.
He also spoke about the return of frost to northeastern Minnesota this week.
