Friday warm front
We dry out slowly today. Partial sun returns tomorrow as temps make the 50s. By Friday a stiff southerly breeze kicks in as a strong warm front pushes north.
Sunshine and milder south winds will boost temperatures well into the 60s, even close to 70 from the Twin Cities south.
Right now the weekend looks cooler, with highs in the 50s. A few rain showers may pass through Saturday. Here's the Twin Cities forecast at a glance through the weekend.
Halloween: Mild with shower chances north
Halloween day looks mild across southern Minnesota. Low pressure tracks north of the metro, and rain showers are possible from St. Cloud north.
Here's NOAA's GFS model map for 7 pm Halloween night.
The usually trusty European Model (ECMWF) is much more optimistic keeps things sunny and dry in the metro. The Euro has the low much further north, and that would mean a sunnier warmer forecast Monday, with a southerly breeze and temps falling from the 60s into the 50s for trick-or-treaters.
Bottom line: It looks milder than average for Halloween this year across Minnesota. I lean toward a high in the 60s in the Twin Cities, with trick-or-treat temps near 60 degrees.
