A 53-year-old man died early Wednesday after being shot in a south Minneapolis alley overnight.
Officers responded to reports of gunshots on the 3400 block of Cedar Avenue South shortly after 10 p.m. on Tuesday, according to the Minneapolis Police Department. Officers found a man in the alley who'd been shot multiple times. The victim was transported to Hennepin County Medical Center, where he died on Wednesday morning.
The victim and his exact cause of death will be released by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office.
Investigators will be interviewing residents on Wednesday. The Minneapolis Police Department is encouraging anyone with information about the shooting to send an anonymous text to 847411 or call the MPD Tip Line at 612-692-8477.
