Our average high temperature for today is 48 degrees in the Twin Cities. We have a shot at 70 degrees today, and the Twin Cities NWS office notes that our November warmth will be spread throughout Minnesota:

A chance of showers arrives in western Minnesota Sunday evening.
Highs Saturday will be mostly in the 60s, but a few spots in southern Minnesota could touch 70:
I wouldn't be surprised to see a few 70 degree readings in the Twin Cities metro area on Saturday.
Sunday's highs will also be warm:
Satellite launch delayed
GOES-R, the newest weather satellite, will not be put in orbit November 16, as had been planned:
According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA):
The launch of a United Launch Alliance (ULA) Atlas V carrying the GOES-R weather satellite for NOAA and NASA is being rescheduled from November 16, 2016. The postponement was caused by the same minor Atlas V booster issue discovered on ULA's WorldView-4 mission scheduled to launch from Vandenberg Air Force Base. The team is actively working towards a resolution. NOAA will provide an update on a new launch date once it is established.
Meteorologists are looking forward to the day that the new satellite becomes operational, because it will have many new and improved features.
Fall back
We go back to central standard time at 2 a.m. Sunday morning. We turn back our clocks before we go to bed Saturday night.
When I was in a college, I heard about someone who set his alarm for 2 a.m., then woke up and turned his clock back. Now that's a real rule-follower!
Don't be shocked when the sun sets at 4:54 p.m. on Sunday in the Twin Cities.
The chart of Twin Cities sunrise/sunset times from the U.S. Naval Observatory, shows that our earliest sunset this year will be 4:32 p.m., from December 3 through December 15.
The USNO site also lets you generate sunrise/sunset times for any location.
