We saw highs in the 60s over most of Minnesota this Monday, with 65 degrees at Minneapolis-St. Paul International airport.
That was cooler than the 70s of this past weekend, but still 19 degrees warmer than our average high temp for November 7th!
We'll have plenty of sunshine for voting tomorrow, with Tuesday high temps in the 50s:
According to the Minnesota State Climatology Office, the warmest weather on a Presidential Election Day in Twin Cities history was 71 degrees, in 2008. The coldest Twin Cities high temp on election day was 28 degrees, in 1936.

The bigger picture
High pressure systems will bring dry Election Day weather to the east coast, the Upper Midwest and most western states. Here is the forecast map for noon on Tuesday:
There is a good chance of showers from Texas into Mississippi, and scattered showers from Missouri into Michigan.
NOAA’s North American Mesoscale 4 km resolution forecast model shows the shower activity at 7 a.m. Tuesday:
Here is the shower activity, which has spread into Ohio, at noon:
And at 6 p.m., showers linger from southern Illinois and Indiana into Ohio:
No severe weather is expected on Tuesday.
