Charlie Sykes, a longtime conservative radio host at WTMJ in Milwaukee, will retire Dec. 19.
He is a leading voice of conservatism in Wisconsin, and known for speaking his mind. He has interviewed some of the biggest names in the GOP, including Speaker of the House Paul Ryan and Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker.
But this year there was a twist: Sykes' coverage of the presidential campaign became personal because of his disdain for Donald Trump. He said he remains a #NeverTrump guy and is worried about the future of conservatism.
Sykes joined MPR News with Tom Weber to discuss his future — and that of the Republican Party.
