"Reasons to Vote for Democrats" is the best-selling book on Amazon right now. It's 266 pages — and almost entirely blank.
Written (or "written") by Michael J. Knowles, it has a table of contents and a bibliography, but nothing in between. The description calls it "a political treatise sure to stand the test of time."
The self-published six-dollar paperback is a clear jab at Democrats. Knowles writes for the conservative advocacy site, The Daily Wire. He was interviewed on Fox & Friends about how the book was developed.
After researching "the Democrat party" for ten years, he said, "I realized it was probably best to just leave all the pages blank."

It's the not the first time someone has self-published a blank book as political satire. In November, David King "wrote" the book "Why Trump Deserves Trust, Respect and Admiration." "This book is full of blank pages," the description reads. "Despite years of research, we could not find anything to say on this subject, so please feel free to use this book for notes."
But "Why Trump Deserves Trust" sits all the way down at No. 1,786 on Amazon's best-seller, compared to the multi-day No. 1 reign of "Reasons to Vote for Democrats."
Judging by the reviews, customers have embraced Knowles's joke:
• "I've never seen such a thoughtful analysis of all the reasons to elect someone as an official of the democratic party. A pure gold read."
• "When I talk to liberals, I only quote this book."
• "It hit the nail on the head. Could have been longer though. Great read!!!"
But not everyone was in on the joke:
• "Book is 99.8% BLANK. Not funny to be so misleading. Shame on you. Shame on AMAZON for allowing you to do this."
