Curtis Gilbert of APM Reports joined the show to discuss his investigation, "Minimizing Mental Fitness," which probes how new police recruits are screened.
Over the last five years, the MPD has scaled back their psychological screening of recruits. Gilbert spoke to MPR News' Tom Weber about the screening process and whether this has any effect on how police respond to emergency calls.
