It's been a golden day for Minnesotans at the Olympics, and a pretty poor one for Team Canada.
The U.S. women's hockey team bested Canada in a shootout to win the gold medal, with goalie and Andover native Maddie Rooney notching more than two dozen saves in the process.
And in curling, the U.S. men's team — dominated by Minnesotans — beat the Canadian team in the semifinals. The U.S. men will play Sweden for the gold on Saturday.
