The major league baseball season kicked off on Thursday — and the Twins started it with a tight 3-2 loss to the Baltimore Orioles.
Elsewhere in Minnesota sports this week, the atmosphere was a bit more upbeat. The University of Minnesota men's hockey team introduced its new head coach Bob Motzko, who formerly led the top team in the nation at St. Cloud State.
Plus, Minnesota United soccer fans are welcoming Darwin Quintero, who's expected to become the first designated player for the team.
