Winter storm update: Snowfall continues into the evening

Here's a quick update on our wintry weather conditions as we peer through the Tuesday afternoon hours.

Snowfall so far ranges between about 3 to 5 inches across the Twin Cities and central Minnesota.

Most of the latest model runs, radar, and satellite trends suggest another 3 to 4 inches of snow in the Twin Cities by Tuesday evening.

The back edge of the snow shield likely exits the Twin Cities around 8 p.m-9 p.m. Tuesday night.

The story for the rest of this week is the cold. Temperatures will begin to moderate next week.
