Guitarist Donna Grantis, who was member of Prince's last band Third Eye Girl, will be performing with her own band tonight at the Dakota Jazz Club in Minneapolis.
There are lots of Prince-related events as we approach the second anniversary of his death on Saturday. The University of Minnesota is hosting a symposium this week which the Current's Andrea Swensson calls "a supergroup of Prince nerds."
Tomorrow from noon to two at the Roller Garden in St. Louis Park, where Prince skated as a kid, there will be a Prince-themed skating party. And at Paisley Park in Chanhassen, there will be a four-day celebration of Prince's life starting tomorrow.
One of the groups that will be performing at Paisley Park is fdeluxe, formerly known as The Family.
