The former superintendent of the Rocori School District has pleaded not guilty to 19 counts of indecent exposure in Stearns County.
The St. Cloud Times reports Scott Staska is accused of exposing himself at stores in St. Cloud and Waite Park between May 2017 and this past April.
Staska was arrested in March and resigned from the school in April. He had been superintendent since 2002, and the Minnesota Association of School Administrators named him the state's top superintendent in 2010.
Staska had been named a finalist for the Moorhead Area Public Schools superintendent position just days before his arrest. He later removed himself from consideration.
Each misdemeanor count against Staska carries a maximum punishment of 90 days in jail and a $1,000 fine.
