Weekend trending drier?

I'm including Friday in the weekend forecast because Friday is the new Saturday, right?

The weather pattern is trending slightly drier for the Friday-Sunday period. Friday's system looks to favor the morning hours. Sunday's projected rain may hold off until Monday or Tuesday. Here's the Canadian GEM model run from Friday to next Tuesday.

Cool weekend

Temps remain cool through the weekend. We moderate a bit next week as southerly winds blow in. But they also bring more rain.

Windbag

Severe storms and our potent cold front delivered impressive wind gusts last night. The gusts with the storm were convectively-driven. But the gusts behind the front were gradient-driven.

Perfect marathon weather?

Sunday morning looks cool and dry with light winds. That's nearly idea marathon weather. Race time temps should start around 40-degrees and warm to about 50 by noon.
