The Minnesota Wild slipped to defending Stanley Cup champions the Washington Capitals last night, losing 5-2 at the Xcel Energy Center.

It was their first game at home after winning five games on a seven-game road trip.

MPR News host Cathy Wurzer checked in with Sarah McLellan for the latest on the Wild season. McClellan covers the team for the Star Tribune.
