It was a quiet day on Wednesday at the World Headquarters of NewsCut so I decided to get a head start cleaning up my 40 acres of the cubicle farm. That's when I found two anatomically correct bovine figurines, gifts to me from the time I met the Johnson family of Hendricks, Minn.
There were no gymnastics facilities for the schoolkids in town, so they cleared out a machine shed and built one. At the first meet, they had no trophies, just bovine figurines. Good enough.
At the same competition, the mayor led cheers with fight songs played on his accordion.
Hendricks is heaven.
