Dogs to drivers: Put the phone down

Some PR agency figured out how to get NewsCut to pay attention to a press release for its client: put dogs in it.

It's the same philosophy that the client -- Geico -- is using in its ad to get you to put the phone down. You're not listening to a steady drumbeat of humans telling you not to drive with your phone, but maybe you'll listen to a smarter species: pups.

Meanwhile, a survey says Minneapolis (and we assume this is the metro area) is actually the least distracted driving community in the United States.

TrueMotion says drives here spent only 6.1 percent of their time distracted while driving in 2018. Drivers in St. Louis ranked as the worst, spending almost 20 percent of their time on things other than paying attention to what they're doing.
