The deadline to file your taxes is less than a week away and this year, it's more complicated than usual. Last year, former Gov. Mark Dayton vetoed a bill that would have created tax conformity, which means that your taxable income in Minnesota is different than it is on your federal return.
The state legislature is working on legislation to update the tax code, and on Monday, House DFLers introduced their tax plan. MPR News host Cathy Wurzer spoke with the chair of the House Tax Committee, Rep. Paul Marquart (DFL-Dilworth), for the latest.
