If anything could make a student or parent cry, it's homework. Some school districts in Minnesota are taking a hard look at how much homework is too much and what homework is beneficial. But others hold fast to the idea that practice makes perfect, even if that practice takes a couple of hours each night.
MPR News host Angela Davis talked about homework with Annie Mason, director of elementary education at the University of Minnesota; Eleni Roulis, professor of education at the University of St. Thomas; and Megan Olivia Hall, a science and agriculture teacher at Open World Learning Community and the 2013 Minnesota Teacher of the Year.
