A conversation with the state's new chief inclusion officer

Chris Taylor, the new chief inclusion officer for state government, will lead the charge to diversify state government's workforce of more than 30,000 people.

Gov. Tim Walz tapped Taylor from the Minnesota Historical Society, where he held a similar job.

He joined MPR News host Angela Davis live in the studio to talk about his plans to recruit and retain diverse staff.
