Dale Watson will play the last show at Lee's Liquor Lounge in Minneapolis on Tuesday night. The Texas-based country singer is no stranger to the establishment — he even wrote a song, called "Louie's Lee's Liquor Lounge," about the bar and its former owner, Louie Sirian.
The bar's current owner, Craig Kruckeberg, told the Star Tribune that he's closing shop because the city needs the land across the street to store equipment for the Southwest light rail project. Lee's has been using the land for parking.
