July 2019 was the hottest month on record, according to NOAA, averaging 1.71 degrees Fahrenheit above the mean for the 20th century.

To round up what that looked like in Minnesota, MPR News guest host Phil Picardi talked with retired University of Minnesota meteorologist and climatologist Mark Seeley.
