The new album from 90s indie-rock group Sleater-Kinney drops on Friday. Called "The Center Won't Hold," it comes about six weeks after longtime drummer Janet Weiss announced she was leaving the band. As singer-guitarist Carrie Brownstein told the New York Times, "We should’ve called the record, ‘Let’s Stay Together.’”
Shakeups aside, the band is taking the album on tour this fall. They’re scheduled to play St. Paul's Palace Theater on October 15 with an as-yet-unnamed drummer.
