St. Paul police are investigating a shooting that left a man dead Monday evening.
Investigators were called to a house on the 1700 block of Ivy Avenue East just after 8:30 p.m., where they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the abdomen. He died a short time later at Regions Hospital.
St. Paul Firefighters Local 21 said Monday that the man was Thomas Harrigan, 36, an off-duty firefighter, who was shot at his home.
No one has been arrested in that case, but police say they do not believe the shooting was random.
