Avril Lavigne performs Tuesday night at the State Theatre in Minneapolis. Her latest album, “Head Above Water,” is her first in six years, after she put her career on hold when she contracted Lyme disease. Lavigne has said this song expresses what she felt one night when she thought the disease was going to kill her.
Some of the proceeds from Lavigne’s current tour will go to the Avril Lavigne Foundation, which helps people coping with the effects of Lyme disease.
