The 2020 election is poised to usher in a lot of new faces across Minnesota . . . on school boards, city councils, and in the legislature.
Some of them will get extensive help from a group called Run For Something. It’s a three-year-old national organization that backs young, progressive candidates in local elections. They’ve helped more than a dozen candidates in Minnesota including Nelsie Yang, the first Hmong American woman elected to St. Paul City Council.
In 2020, Run For Something expects to support as many as 60 local candidates in Minnesota.
