In November 1951, three young boys went to play at a park near their home in North Minneapolis. They never came back. The case of the missing Klein brothers is still open according to their family.
They’ve continued to pursue leads with the help of various law-enforcement agencies in hopes of finding out what happened to Kenneth Jr., David, and Danny. And maybe, even, that they might find them, alive.
Minneapolis author Jack El-Hai is out with a new book about the story titled “The Lost Brothers: A Family’s Decades-long Search.” There’s also an accompanying podcast from Twin Cities PBS called “Long Lost.”
MPR’s Cathy Wurzer spoke with El-Hai.
