Icy roads and sidewalks Saturday morning; winter storm spreads across Minnesota today

We’ve seen a wintry mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain in parts of southern and central Minnesota, including the Twin Cities metro area, this morning. The precipitation will spread northward and eastward through this morning and afternoon.

The Twin Cities metro area will see the morning/early afternoon mix including freezing rain then mostly rain later this afternoon into Sunday with a mix returning Sunday night and perioids of snow on Monday.
