Monday was the warmest day in over seven months for the Twin Cities. The mercury soared to 74 degrees Monday afternoon under brilliantly warm sunshine.
That makes Monday the warmest day in over seven months in the Twin Cities. The last day the Twin Cities was warmer was Sept. 24 when we topped out at 86 degrees.
Tuesday soaker
We’re still on track for soaking rains Tuesday. NOAA’s NAM 3 km resolution model tracks the rain across central and southern Minnesota from Tuesday to Wednesday mornings.

Notice the heavy thunderstorm clusters across southern Minnesota in the loop above. NOAA’s Storm Prediction Center includes a marginal (low) risk of severe storms across The Interstate 90 corridor Tuesday. A bigger severe outbreak is likely in the central Plains.
