Severe weather, including tornadoes, will be possible in northwestern Minnesota this afternoon and evening. The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a tornado watch which continues until 10 p.m. this Sunday in eastern North Dakota and much of northwestern Minnesota:
Severe weather, including large hail, damaging thunderstorm winds and tornadoes will be possible in and close to the watch area.

The tornado watch covers much of the enhanced risk area, which is where numerous severe thunderstorms are possible. The adjacent area (shaded yellow) is where scattered severe thunderstorms are possible.

Thunderstorms in northwestern and west-central Minnesota this afternoon and early evening will expand eastward with time. The Twin Cities metro area is expected to remain rain-free this Sunday evening.
