An MPR News listener in Duluth wrote to ask whether June has been unusually windy in Minnesota, after observing lilac bushes and trees blowing around more — and more frequently — than in recent memory.
According to retired climatologist and meteorologist Mark Seeley, June has indeed seen higher than normal winds across much of the state, including Duluth. He ran down that data — and the week in weather — in his weekly chat with MPR News host Cathy Wurzer.
