Quiet weather dominates Monday’s forecast with mostly sunny skies and comfortable temperatures.
Monday’s forecast
High pressure sitting over the northern Midwest is bringing very stable conditions across Minnesota.
This means dry weather and mostly sunny skies prevail statewide Monday. Winds also stay relatively light.
Under mostly clear skies, northern Minnesota is starting in the 40s and low 50s Monday morning, ranging to 60s in the southeastern corner of the state, where a few more clouds lingered overnight.
Highs will be in the 70s for most of the state, which is just slightly below average for mid-August, with the exception of southwestern Minnesota, which is likely to see more 80s.
A slight chance for rain returns to part of Minnesota by Tuesday. That extended forecast will be updated around 9 a.m.
