Temperatures start off milder Friday morning, then soar into the 80s across southern and western Minnesota Friday afternoon. Highs will reach the 70s across most of northern Minnesota on Oct. 9.

A cool front slides through Minnesota Friday night. That brings cooler, but still above average air into the state Saturday.
Yet another warm front blows through by Sunday as highs return into the 70s once again in southern Minnesota with 60s up north.
Much colder late next week
Monday looks wet. Temperatures hover mostly in the 50s and 60s Tuesday and Wednesday but could hit 70 again in southern Minnesota Wednesday afternoon.
The latest upper air charts suggest a deeper trough over the Upper Midwest late next week. That will brings significantly colder weather to our region.
Highs may not climb out of the 40s and 50s late next week across most of Minnesota.
