The gales of October have arrived.
Wind advisories blanketed most of Minnesota Wednesday. Peak wind gusts in the 40s and 50s covered a big chunk of Minnesota. Winds will gradually ease late Thursday.

Highs Thursday plunge into the 30s up north with 40s across most of Minnesota.

By Sunday highs hover in the 30s up north, with lower 40s as far south as the Twin Cities.

Saturday’s accumulating snow chances still favor the northern half of Minnesota, and not the Twin Cities. The latest European model run suggests accumulations increase as you move north toward the Canadian border regions.
