Rain and thunder chances?

Northwestern Minnesota has the best chance of showers and thunderstorms Saturday morning. West-central Minnesota and the northern third of Minnesota could see scattered showers and thunderstorms at times Saturday afternoon and evening.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s North American Mesoscale (NAM) forecast model shows the potential rain pattern for Saturday and Saturday evening:

It’ll rain in some spots that look dry in the loop, but the loop illustrates the general rain pattern that’s expected.

The NWS Storm Prediction Center shows a marginal risk (shaded dark green) of severe weather in west-central Minnesota and portions of northern Minnesota Saturday and Saturday night:

Marginal risk means that an isolated severe thunderstorm is possible.
