It’s been another month marked by big temperature swings in Minnesota – ranging from 95 degrees at Granite Falls on May 1, to 16 degrees at Brimson on May 11.
But taken in sum, those swings even out. According to retired University of Minnesota climatologist and meteorologist Mark Seeley, most areas of the state are reporting an average monthly temperature that’s about normal for May.
Seeley ran down the month in weather — and looked ahead to Memorial Day weekend — with MPR News host Cathy Wurzer in their weekly chat.
