A well-advertised storm system finally erupted with Thursday evening across Wisconsin and parts of eastern Minnesota.
The potential volatility of the system prompted a rare Particularly Dangerous Situation Severe thunderstorm watch from NOAA’s Storm Prediction Center.
The most severe storms favored Wisconsin Wednesday evening. But a few strong storms and warnings grazed eastern Minnesota as the line developed.
I’m seeing numerous severe weather reports from Wisconsin as of this post late Wednesday night. But at this hour the storms in progress are likely to produce a lot of additional damage across Wisconsin overnight into Thursday morning.
