Welcome to fog and low stratus season in Minnesota.

The months of October through December feature more frequent fog and low stratus. Increasing darkness means a longer time for temperatures to drop to the dew point. That saturates the air and produces radiation fog.

Higher winds should keep fog at bay most of the rest of this week.
