Fall color is expanding across Minnesota.
The latest fall color map from the Minnesota DNR shows parts of northern Minnesota are now past peak color. Most of the foliage in the northern half of Minnesota is showing between 75 and 100 percent color.
Most of the southern half of Minnesota is showing between 25 and 75 percent color now.
Slow burn
Fall color in northern Minnesota appears to have peaked pretty close to average this year. Many areas in southern Minnesota seem to be running a bit slower than average.
