Weekend temps and winds
Saturday will be the mildest day of the weekend. Winds ramp up on Sunday, as our temperatures retreat.
Our average Twin Cities high temp is 40 degrees on Nov. 20. The metro area will see Saturday afternoon highs in the lower 40s. Highs in the 40s are expected from southern and east-central Minnesota into western Wisconsin on Saturday:
A cold front moves into northwestern Minnesota on Saturday, delivering highs in the lower 30s to that area.

Saturday winds will be lightest to the southeast, with gusts in the 10-15 mph range in northwestern Minnesota:
Forecast gusts are in knots, with 11 knots equal to 12.7 mph.
Back to forecast highs, most of Minnesota will see Sunday highs in the 30s, with 20s in northwestern and north-central Minnesota:
Strong winds will make it feel colder than the air temperature; many areas will see Sunday wind gusts in the 30 to 40 mph range.
Sunday flake chance
Some forecast models show some light snow moving through Minnesota and western Wisconsin on Sunday.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s North American Mesoscale (NAM) forecast model shows the potential precipitation pattern for Sunday:
If the light snow does develop on Sunday, it wouldn’t last very long at any given location. Visibilities will be reduced during any snow that falls on Sunday, due to the gusty winds.
