Our temperature roller coaster continues this week.
Temperatures surged into the 30s and even 40s in southern Minnesota Tuesday afternoon as a warm front blew in. You can see on the maps above how southern Minnesota rides the top edge of an unseasonably warm air mass that extends all the way south to Texas.
But a cold front blows in again Wednesday, and temperatures will hold steady or slowly fall through the 20s once again on gusty northwest winds.
Temperatures bottom out Thursday, with highs in the single digits and teens across Minnesota.
