We have two main rounds of snow Monday and Tuesday with our latest winter storm. A winter storm warning stretches from the Dakotas through central Minnesota into northern Wisconsin with a winter weather advisory north and south of that.
The bulk of the snowfall with the first round of snow Monday will be across central Minnesota into northern Wisconsin. These areas will see up to 8 inches of snow Monday. Portions of southeastern Minnesota could see a wintry mix this afternoon, mainly in the form of sleet showers.
A second round of snow will affect more of the area on Tuesday.
Several inches of snow up to a half foot of snow could fall from the Twin Cities into central Minnesota.
In total, portions of central Minnesota into northern Wisconsin will see over a foot over the two days.
It will also be a rather chilly week. The normal high is in the low 30s south and low 20s north. This week however, high temperatures will be in the teens south and single digits to near zero in the north. Temperature should make a return to normal next week.
